Visiting Australia requires an e-visa. You can apply for this by downloading the AustralianETA app. Links here for Apple and Android

You'll be flying into Adelaide Airport, a short 15-minute drive to downtown.

US driver's licenses are accepted in Australia. But remember they drive on the left side of the road down under!

If your regular US cell phone plan won't work in Australia, there are several options. You can download an e-sim app, like GoMoWorld, or purchase an Australian sim at the airport once you land.

Public transport is great in Adelaide. There is a free tram that will take you North and South in the downtown area, and paid buses, trains, and trams can take you everywhere else.

Rideshare apps like Lyft and Uber are available in Adelaide, as well as car rental apps like Turo.​

Fringe Festival
Feb 20th - Mar 22nd
Experience a month of vibrant creativity as Adelaide bursts to life with the Southern Hemisphere's largest arts festival. From world-class performers to unique street theatre.

Glenelg Beach, Adelaide
Just a tram ride away from the CBD, Glenelg offers beaches, and places to eat and shop. Sink three-dozen oysters at the Oyster Bar and then sip on a cocktail at the Moseley Beach Club.

Botanic Gardens, Adelaide
Adelaide Botanic Garden is an oasis in the cosmopolitan heart of the city, featuring beautifully-landscaped gardens, majestic avenues and stunning architecture.

Wine Country
Adelaide is close to several fantastic wine provinces. Travel 30 minutes east to explore the Adelaide Hills, 60 minutes south for McLaren Vale, and 60 minutes north for the Barossa Valley.

Hahndorf, Adelaide Hills
Located just 25 minutes from Adelaide, Hahndorf is Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement and still has a strong German flavour most evident in the smallgoods outlets, bakeries, pubs, restaurants and cafes that line the bustling main street.

We'll be staying at an Airbnb in the North Adelaide neighborhood, just off Melbourne Street, a short walk from the central downtown area.
